Cabin description
Built in 1896 of round logs, this chalet, more than a century old, sits on a private property in Piopolis, in the Eastern Townships, very close to the southern end of Lac-Mégantic. Its comfort is rustic, and the place keeps the mark of its era. The property is secluded, yet easy to reach. It is located within the International Dark Sky Reserve, near Mont-Mégantic National Park, and activities can be enjoyed here in every season. You enter on the ground floor, where an imposing granite fireplace dominates the living room. There is also a card table, a large dining table, the kitchen, a bar and a toilet. Upstairs, six bedrooms share six single beds, two double beds and one Queen bed. The bathroom, with shower and toilet, is on the same level. The large veranda opens onto the lake. To get there, a canoe, a kayak, a rowboat and an old pedal boat are available to guests. Fly-fishing rights are offered for an additional fee. Dogs are permitted only if they are spayed or neutered.
