Terms of Use

To access certain features (messaging, listing publication), you must create an account with a valid email address.

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity carried out from your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

You declare that the information provided upon registration is accurate, complete, and up to date. Kabanalouer reserves the right to suspend or delete any account containing false or misleading information.

As an Owner, you agree to:

• Hold a valid CITQ number (6 digits) in compliance with Quebec's Touristic Accommodation Establishments Act. This number is mandatory to publish a Listing on Kabanalouer.
• Provide accurate, complete, and non-misleading information about your cabin (location, amenities, capacity, rates, house rules).
• Keep your availability calendar up to date to avoid booking conflicts.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and tax obligations applicable to short-term rentals in Quebec.
• Respond to Traveler inquiries within a reasonable timeframe (recommended: 48 hours).
• Not solicit Travelers to bypass the Platform during initial contact.

As a Traveler, you agree to:

• Use the Platform solely for legitimate accommodation search purposes.
• Respect the house rules communicated by the Owner during your stay.
• Provide truthful information in your contact requests.
• Not harass or disturb Owners.

Publishing a Listing requires subscribing to an annual plan priced at CAD $299 per cabin, unless covered by the launch offer providing a free first year.

• The subscription is per cabin: multiple cabins require separate subscriptions.
• Payment is processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you accept Stripe's terms of service.
• The subscription is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Upon expiry, your Listing is automatically unpublished, but your data is retained indefinitely so you can renew at any time.
• Kabanalouer reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice by email.

It is prohibited to publish or distribute on the Platform:

• False, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Listings for properties you do not manage or are not authorized to rent.
• Any discriminatory, offensive, or illegal content.
• Links or redirects to competing platforms intended to divert traffic.
• Any content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of third parties.

Kabanalouer reserves the right to remove any non-compliant content and to suspend or terminate the account of the offending user, without notice or refund.

The Platform, its design, source code, trademarks, and editorial content are the exclusive property of Kabanalouer and are protected by Canadian intellectual property laws.

By publishing photos and text on the Platform, you grant Kabanalouer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and promote them in connection with the operation of the Platform and its marketing communications.

You declare that you hold all necessary rights over the content you publish and indemnify Kabanalouer against any third-party claims in this regard.

Kabanalouer is a matchmaking platform and is not a party to contracts concluded between Owners and Travelers. Kabanalouer cannot be held liable for:

• Disputes arising from a rental (non-payment, damages, cancellation, disagreement over the condition of the accommodation).
• The accuracy of information published by Owners.
• Actions or omissions of users on the Platform.
• Service interruptions due to technical failures, maintenance, or events beyond our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kabanalouer's liability is limited to the amount of the subscription paid by the user in the past 12 months.

You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us by email. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any current subscription.

Kabanalouer may suspend or terminate your access without notice in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to the community or the Platform's reputation.
