Portneuf Yurt Camp

The Lac Sept-Îles yurts welcome families, couples and groups of friends who want to sleep near the water and the forest. Two areas share the site. On the lakeshore, you'll find the La Grive and La Chouette yurts. Across the road, four yurts are nestled in the forest in the mountain area, where peace and quiet reign. Park your car in the parking lot and walk about 200 m to the yurt. Baggage transport is included. There is no electricity: a battery-powered lantern provides basic lighting, and the yurt is heated by a wood stove, with indoor firewood provided. Outside, a propane stove is installed with a propane tank, under a covered kitchen shelter (not cleared of snow in winter). A picnic table is also on site (not cleared of snow in winter), as well as a fire pit reserved for your yurt, with an armful of wood included. Inside, you sleep in two double bunk beds plus a single bed. A dining table with four chairs and a double bench completes the furnishings. Dishes are complete, with linens and dish soap, and 18 litres of drinking water await you in the yurt. Bedding is not provided: please bring your own. A dry toilet is located a few metres away, shared with the neighbouring yurt. The sanitary facilities, with running and drinking water, are 400 m away. The rental also gives you access to the activities of the outdoor recreation base. In summer, you can swim, kayak, paddleboard, canoe and try the ropes course, or try the Wibbit, an inflatable water game. In winter, you can go snowshoeing, hok skiing, tube sliding, snow scooting, or lace up your skates on the outdoor rink. The minimum stay is two nights.
